The care sector has shown true strength, resilience and adaptiveness in their COVID-19 response, but as we look towards the future, what can be done to support a workforce under such pressures?
This webisode aims to discuss key issues such as training, recruitment, retention, resilience, and mental health in the social care workforce. By sharing best practice and their experiences, our expert speakers will provide insight and clarity to such issues and explore how we can support the workforce to allow them to do what they do best; caring.
When: Today - Friday 15 January, 1-1:45pm AEST
Lessons learned from the Victorian outbreaks will enable Australia’s aged care sector to enhance infection control and prevention methods, resources and protocols, as well as take advantage of new approaches to care delivery.

VACRC infection prevention experts will also review current epidemiology in Victoria and discuss the future of COVID-19 in Australia, including vaccination, long-term outlook and community transmission. The NDIS Commission has produced eight learning modules to provide new workers with specific information they need to start working in the disability sector.
The modules have been developed to support providers induct new staff who may not be familiar with the disability sector.
This training forms part of a suite of learning products that workers may complete as part of their induction, including the Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality Safety and You’ and the Department of Health’s ‘Infection prevention and control for COVID-19’ training.
